It used to be that, when people sneezed, I would say “Bless you.” This seems so foreign to me, now, because since I saw a Dane Cook skit, I have been saying “GOD bless you.” Now, that’s more natural.

Here is my quick story about a few sneezes I asked God to bless, and the reactions I received:

This one I call the grateful sneezer. One day, one of my friends sneezed a huge honking sneeze. No one sent her blessings. So, naturally, I did. I turned to her and said, “God bless you.” Looking her dead in the eye and meaning every word. She is Christian and smiled a huge grin and gratefully said “Thank you!

This next one I call the surprised sneezer. Another one of my friends sneezed one day. The girl from the previous story said, “Bless you.” Shortly after, I said, “God bless you.” Both friends turned to me and the previous sneezer looked at me surprised and gave a small refreshed-looking smile. This story actually comes before the first one, but I just felt it needed to go second. Excuse the confusion.
