So lately i have really been feeling like i have no idea what to do with my life! I drink when ever i can and i’ve always been on the look out for drugs! I have been told by many people at church that God has big plans for me, but so far i cant see any!!! i just cant seem to get out of this hole! i haven’t read my Bible for a long time bc the last time just seemed like empty words! i couldn’t understand anything that it was saying! My parents are always on me to be a good example for my younger siblings but i cant do it! i find myself becoming obsessed with the way i looks so guys will notice me, but i know they dont give the love that Jesus does but sometimes their love feels more real! Ive lost it! i dont know what to do and i dont know where im going!

    Sami,

I know words often seem hollow, actions often misguided. But, I hope you can see the love of Jesus in these good people who are willing to take the time to write and encourage you. I haven’t read all of them, skimmed most, but I just wanted to add that you are of infinite worth to God. You don’t have to try to make Him up. You don’t have to try to “feel” God. He is real and He is love and He desperately loves you. Bury your roots deep in the Bible, read and pray without stopping and when you realize you stopped, start over again. Those words bring life and if you can push through the fog, they will begin to make sense. He wants to be in your conversation, the main focus actually. Just pour into Him and He will pour into you. So sorry for the tough times. God can heal, restore, and transform. Your on the right path just in the fact that you are seeking Him. “Seek the LORD while he may be found, call on him while he is near”, “Seek and you will find”. Praying…

your not alone i did this to….i hated it, but then one day one of my bestfirends brought me to her church and that when i exsepted christ and i have been living for him everyday and it is hard bc most of my friends hate it and are drug fanatics so i have to leave them behind…anyway what i am trying to say it that God is always with you

Wow – I hear you. I went through some tough stuff, felt like no one noticed but I did do my best to stay faithful. I felt like God had given up on me but I kept going day after day praying, almost a year went by and let me say God is definitely great – he did something big & I’ll never forget it. That was 9 years ago. Don’t think he has forgotten or isn’t listening, he may make you a humble man but he will answer in his time. The wait is hard but man it’s worth it. Keep the faith – Like Jesus said he’ll never leave you nor forsake you.

    In Christ

You are NOT alone! You and i are experiencing the same situations! Poisoning our bodies, seeking the love and affection of a male, and having a difficult time building that relationship with God AND Jesus! It is POSSIBLE TO CHANGE! You can do it! I can do it! Anyone can do it! Just believe! Isn’t it amazing that through any tribulation that you’ve experienced, that unlike many, you are still HERE…and being given the opportunity to turn your life around? Don’t wait until tommorow. Start now. This is about You, JESUS, and GOD. Just close your eyes and pray. It doesn’t have to be a pretty grammatically correct conversation, just talk, let it flow. And ask for forgiveness for your sins. You will have to do this every day, but you know what, its worth it, it will strengthen you, and establish that connection with GOD because he has been with you, by you, and there for you ALL ALONG. Dont frown. Take a deep breath….you got this. its too easy to give up. You have to fight. Believe! With compassion, i love you. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP! -Brittany, 21

Hey I know what you mean about sometimes it feels like the Bible’s not speaking to you like it can, and I 4sure get the sense of not knowing where to go with your life… take it from me, God will get to you however He can. It’s just He runs on His own clock, and even though His time zone runs the universe, most of the inhabitants don’t go by it. I know you’re gonna be fine. I think you’re a good person who’s just growing up. Don’t lose faith! Don’t get frustrated- everybody questions things as they get older and yeah, the love of guys is different from God’s and it’s weird NOT to want that… you’ve just gotta keep believing and know God won’t put you through anything you can’t handle- and take it from a suicidal bipolar hyperactive writer. My parents and friends (and total strangers) have always told me I’m gonna be huge, go down in history, face on TV, exed. And I’ve got three younger siblings to help grow up. I understand stress and pressure- my immune system is slowly shutting down due to extreme stress levels. I drink. I hate myself. I hate the way I look. But whatever you’re looking for, I hope you find.

I would also suggest that you listen to “Desperate” by Lecrae

Here is the link for the song plus the lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnUL7EEzAKQ&feature=related

    LOVE YOU! GOD BLESS!!

  8. Eunice says:

First of all, “Prayer is the key to getting close to God. It helps build the relationship that you need with Him. Reading and seeking after his word (the Bible) also helps strengthen this relationship.” -christianmusicalways (from YouTube)
Secondly, stop saying you CAN’T! You “can do all things through Christ who strengthens you”. Philippians 4:13. AMEN!
Thirdly, when you read the bible, don’t read it like its a book. Before reading it, pray. Pray and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you and reveal to you what that Holy Word is saying. Without the Holy Spirit there helping you go deeper past just the words to those scriptures you will not understand it.. it will only be empty words.
Also, I want you to know that we all fall into sin, but the best thing to do is to confess, repent, and get back to God’s glory and presence. You were called to change lives and God does have great plans for you. It is not by mistake or a coincidence that all of those people at your church told you that you are going to be someone great for God. YOU WERE CALLED ON PURPOSE! 1 Peter 2:9. You are already blessed, and all you have to do is to walk into that blessing.

Right now I want you to rededicate yourself to God. Maybe you have fallen away from the path of Christ for a while, but He is such a Mighty and Gracious God that He is always there to bring you back! God is still here with His arms wide open waiting for you to run to Him. And He loves you sooo much!

    Say this prayer:
“God, I thank you for your love that You have continued to show me and I thank you for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me so that I may live. I confess my sins to you and I ask for your forgiveness for anything I have done. I know that I have strayed away from Your word, Your love, and Your grace but I ask that you shall forgive me and bring me back to You, Father. Wash me, Lord. Right now, I re-confess Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I confess that He died on the cross to save me. I also re-dedicate myself to you and proclaim that I give my all to you.”

After this just start worshiping him to tell Him how awesome He is, because you are already forgiven! (You can sing some songs that you know). Let Him know that you will stay away from those sins and ask for His grace to help you(because you cannot do it alone.).

Do this in a quiet area, just you and God..no distractions. And don’t leave that place until you get an encounter with Him.

I would also suggest that you continue to go to church regularly and ask your church pastors, leaders, or even family members for help!

I love you, my sister in Christ, and I will continue to pray for you. Good luck and don’t forget that God is Good! God BLESS!! <3
