The Same
Some youths & adults may have wondered and said “How did the people back then follow Jesus Christ, how did the people in the bible obey & act so perfect, and act so different from us”. I’ve asked myself the same question, how can I become reverent like Moses, Samuel, Samson, Joshua, Ruth, Ezekiel, and even people from the new testament like Paul, Timothy, James. I remember thinking about this & also thinking about pastors and other people who just keep their lives in obedience almost looking perfect. Then I put myself in their shoes & thought how those people from the bible was living & after I read in the bible that some of these people had flaws. How Peter denies Jesus, How Adam & Eve Disobeyed God.
We all must know that we all have temptations & that were not perfect but we can have the knowledge of the truth & be reverent.
Romans chapter 8, 21:24 – “So I discover this principle: when I want to do good, evil is with me. For in my inner self I joyfully agree with God’s law. But I see a different law in the parts of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and taking me prisoner to the law of sin in the parts of my body.”
We also must know that we can fight sin.
Romans chapter 8, 17:19 – “So now I am no longer the one doing it, but it is sin living in me. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh. For the desire to do what is good is with me, but there is no ability to do it.”
People from the bible are just like us, GOD can also use us just as He has used them.
yeah man, it was just as hard for them to keep faith back then as it is for us right now; and they were even in the midst of Him.
