nlaparra is exactly right. I don’t know who Pat Robinson is, but I do know who Jesus is, and I do know that the Holy Spirit is more powerful than the Devil. If Jesus can defeat death, what kind of human pact with Satan can overcome His power to save? The answer is none. Faith in Him means trusting that He was able to save you from your very own pact with the Devil. He’s not far away. His hand is not shortened. He can redeem. (isaiah 50)
They very well may have made this so-called pact with the devil. But that doesn’t change how God feels about the Haitian people. He wants to save them and he wants them to see him as their ultimate treasure.
So, he is not far away from the Haitians. He is near, ready and able to save them
