Center Your Thoughts on God

In many ways the Bible is an instruction book on how to live. Listen to some of its most familiar words – found in the twenty-third Psalm:

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name sake.

But now listen to that same Psalm, changing the emphasis.

The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness, for his name sake.

When we read the Bible centering our thoughts on God, rather than on ourselves, we discover God himself.
