May 19, 2020The Midwest has always been cooking as far as hip hop has been concerned, but during the pandemic the flames have really been fanned. Terrell Carter started a #spreadgemsnotgerms challenge where he dropped a dope video with him spitting some bars. Terrell was inspired by the passing of his mother, and he issued the challenge, and some of the best rappity rappers in the region stepped up. Armond Wakeup(who was vocal about not doing challenges), and then today Taelor Gray and Yaves Elliss, the rapping pastors, dropped a tag team freestyle speaking up for the vulnerable.
