According to mainstream hip-hop website XXL Magazine, Beats By Dre has been named the official headphone of the NBA.
“Beats revolutionized the music industry and has become one of the most innovative and culturally influential brands in the world,” NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said via press release. “Through our partnership, we have an exciting opportunity to merge sports, pop culture, and technology to deliver unparalleled experiences and premium products to our fans.”
Yesterday, Beats By Dre dropped the news via a commercial on their YouTube channel.
“It’s official. Beats by Dre is now the headphone, home speaker, and audio partner of the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, and USA Basketball.” – via their YouTube channel.
Basketball stars LeBron James, James Harden, Ben Simmons, Draymond Green and Karl-Anthony Towns are in the commercial.
Legendary producer, Dr.Dre, is a co-founder of Beats By Dre and who the headphones are named after.
