This piece has its powerful impact quite simply because of its honesty. Yes. There are clever turns of phrases and even a patch towards the end where the beat and his delivery ramp up in a way that is almost hip-hop – not typical in most of the spoken word pieces we see. Michael Agnew’s “Fear” is not only relatable but dope because he brings up his insufficiencies and contrasts them with the brilliant light of God’s all-sufficiency in a way that is fresh to the ear.
