Announcing the 2018 Jam the Hype Festival Lineup and UYWI Conference Speakers

This year’s conference theme is “Gathering the Faithful” and so we are gathering together musicians, visual artists, dancers, poets, and teachers for an amazing time of learning, networking, celebrating, and having fun. So come and get refreshed! There is still room!

This year’s music artists include BrvndonP, Brian Reith, Hee Sun Lee, Bryann Trejo, 5ive, Milliyon, Jesus Peace/Trainsformers from NY, Erica Mason, and special appearances by Xola Malik (aka Kidd Sensation the MC for Sir-Mix-A-Lot and one of the original VJ’s for Yo! MTV Raps!) with his son Kendi Fresh, and new artist Yeesh Yellow from Judah Smith’s Churchome in Seattle Washington. The lineup with bios is listed in our conference schedule below. Visual artists include Camer1, ChiCreate, Gath, and Fasm who will be giving onsite graffiti lessons, and judging this year’s graffiti battle where graffiti artists get an 8’x8′ plywood wall to create something amazing given just one word and a fixed color scheme/paint colors.

DJ’s for this year’s lineup include DJ Efectho (Propaganda), DJ Manwell (Serato), DJ Aslan (Illect), DJ Icy Ice (Catalyst) where they will be hosting on our mainstage in front of 1500 people, and on our outdoor stage for the Jam the Hype Festival performances, including the all-star DJ collective, and our silent dance party during the late night hours.

Finally the mainstage will feature our “urban worship experience” led by Joshua Chavez and band, with cameo appearances by many talented worship leaders and artists that may surprise you.
