A diverse gathering of Christians was to unfold this week in Memphis, Tennessee, where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated 50 years ago. The event, dubbed the MLK50 Conference, was organized to motivate Christians to embrace the belief that “racial unity is a gospel issue.”
