On June 17, Boxer Andre Ward defeated Sergey Kovalev by 8th round TKO to retain the unified Light Heavyweight title. He is the last American boxer to win a gold medal at the Olympics (2004).
Ward is a big supporter of the Christian Hip-Hop community and has made appearances on major media outlets. The Bay Area-based fighter was recently on ESPN’s First Take. Ward spoke on the highly anticipated Mayweather vs. McGregor bout, which is scheduled to take place on August 26, 2017.
