Last night, leading up to and during the 55th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, most hip-hop fans were probably paying attention to categories like Rap Album of the Year (won by Drake for Take Care), Best Rap Song (taken by “N**gas in Paris”) or how Frank Ocean would fare (he performed towards the end of the show and won for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration). Those paying attention, though, might have caught another rap victory: Lecrae’s Gravity, which took home Best Gospel Album.

i’m so proud of u Lecrae for this Grammy Award;i remember the first time i listen to his music, it was from one of my friend who is muslim snd indian,he came to me like …”hey dude i got some nice gospel rap u should listen to them…..my jesus,my jesus he was reapitin…”and i was like wooow…from that day on…i’ve never stop to listen to Lecrae’s songs they took away my feelings of jay z’s songs who was my idol and increase my love of God koz i like rap so much and now its Gospel.,no more wayne ,kanye,jay z,more Lecrae,Big K.R.I.T,Trip lee;i hope to be Big as Lecrae in Gospel Hip Hop in future…..May God Bless u Lecrae!!!
