    @iMovementvideo That is so true man! This video made me think a lot. And it’s just a short promo! After I watched it, I started thinking about what I valued the most, and it made me so sad. In my mind I compared the amount of time I spent playing video games to the time I spend with God, and it was sad. That very day, I prayed, I went down stairs picked up MW2 and Battlefield BC2 game and smashed them in my backyard. Some people might say that its was a stupid move, but I say it was all worth it

    @Ampliphydesylence…yes it would lol

  3. NeiyonSpyder says:

    Oh snap! He lit the custom sneaks on fire! But im guessing that was the point of hte video. Letting go of worldy possessions or “idols”

    DANG THOSE NIKES ARE SUPER FLAMMABLE…. BUT SO ARE OUR IDOLS!!!
    I LOVE HOW HE PROMOTED THEM ON THEIR SITE AND IT ALL WAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE MESSAGE… CHRIST ALONE!!!!! FEEL THE BURN!!

    @iMovementvideo What if he meant to mean that the shoes represent christian life (like it says on reach records. com) because of the logo? And if you listen to what lecrae is saying he could be playing the role of someone who doesn’t have God because of him burning the shoes that represent perhaps not materials but rehabilitation? Why else would he pose in the skull suit? Maybe the idolism is in choosing to burn the shoes. Just a thought, but it don’t matter as long as I get this album! 🙂

    @officialchristiantv 😛 You americans are so dramatic. Burning stuff? Do you even know how expensive that stuff is? Made my stomach glurg.

  9. lucasdasilvamaria says:

    @unashamedbeliever390 It was no stupid thing. I do it all the time, but using another strategy: NOT BUYING IT!

  10. eddiemill says:

    its about idols. Putting God first. What are we holding on to in our hearts that gets in the way of our walk with Christ?

    go to pastor-comics.blogspot.com to see a parody on this…

    I think he build it up perfectly, I remember all the commotion around the vid. in which the customs were made.
    now burning the to show how little it all means, is a strong statement.

    @LUKENINE23

    LOL!!!

  14. cbaby74 says:

    @01Tim115

    He obviously doused them with some Lighter Fluid…

  15. ChrissyCheri07 says:

    I love how he burned the Nikes. It kinda represents burning away materialism and vanity. It’s like immediately you’re in awe by a pair of shoes cuz they’re so fresh. But then he’s like “Oh you like these huh? Watch me burn them.” LOVE that!!! In the end all of those material things fade away and the only thing that matters is your relationship with God

  16. 01Tim115 says:

    @cbaby74 Obviously, I was only kidding.

  17. cbaby74 says:

    @01Tim115

    I figured, it just worried me after I saw a lot of people saying it lol

  18. mrich21087 says:

    Hahaha that is amazing. I just watched the other video about the custom shoes and was so discouraged because I thought it was so worldly and unlike ReachRecords.

    I walked into a store one day and I saw Lecrae’s Real Talk album, my bro and I laughed because there were so many copies on the shelf. “He must not be all that good” we said. We bought the CD out of pity and we weren’t laughing anymore. Now years later I’m thanking God for Lecrae and his message..

    @AALJ83 There’s a saying in Latin: “Damnant quod non inteligunt.” It means, “they condemn what they do not understand. Very fitting for the subject you speak of. Many a Christian tend to base their spiritual worldview solely on what they’re used to. It’s sad, and I pray God help us all to see what He sees in all these things. That we can rejoice in the things He delights in, rather than calling what he deemed clean unclean.

  21. 107duhaime says:

    i didnt get the video that much at first but his new cd about to be out is called rehab and he talks about dealing with depression and life reflected things that happen in are lives so by him having his skelton hoodie it kindda reflects his skeltons out of his closet so to speak and by burning his shoes his like burning his ashes his past and all the bad in it and he basically puttting it in gods hand and saying help me be new again i think

  22. chunkylover1000000 says:

    @cbaby74 no way

  23. 6ixtus says:

    @107duhaime As you can notice, the title of the promo is “idols”. The shoes representing the idol. I think what he’s trying to communicate with the viewers is that there are a lot of things in this world we become obsessed with. Money, cars, musicians, etc…even the custom rehab dunks. He knows that the love of those things will only lead him to destruction. So burning the shoes symbolizes that he is detaching himself from all the worldly things that hinders him from getting closer to God.

  24. TigerMuskie08 says:

    I don’t care about the shoes, yea they’re nice and fresh but NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THE AMAZING SONG THAT IS BEING PLAYED!!!!!!!!!

  25. cbaby74 says:

    @chunkylover1000000

    Why don’t you find your way out of my conversation, hmm? If you can’t be any more decent than that…

  26. Camron says:

    Great message! Put God first!

  27. Aline says:

    You could definitely see your skills within the work you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who aren’t afraid to say how they believe. At all times follow your heart.
