Secret Sins Matters

Back in Bible times, God gave the nation of Israel a great victory over the city-state of Jericho. But their next battle – against a far smaller city – was a humiliating defeat. Don’t you hate it when that happens?

Well for Israel, it quickly became apparent that God had brought them to defeat because of the hidden sin of one of their leaders.

Let us never think that our secret sins don’t matter. They often impact our families, our friends, our churches and our nation. But there’s a path to forgiveness and freedom, and it begins with the realization that our secret sins really aren’t secret at all! The Bible says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight.” God not only knows about our sins, but he has the power to forgive them and make it possible for us to move past them. And that’s good news!
