What Defines My Success?

What defines an artist’s success? What does mass success look like? Is it winning lots of souls? Or making money to hold down the family? How about getting their name personally known? A wise artist would ask what did God command? Aren’t I supposed to go into the entire world and preach the gospel to all creatures (Lk 16:15)? And didn’t God command a blessing over Abraham to increase him mightily. And since I belong to Christ then I am Abraham’s seed an heir according to the promise (Gal 3:14:29)? While all this is good and needed in this life to fulfill Father God’s ultimate plan. Check out what God shared with me… A man or a woman of God’s true success does not consist of the abundance of things: winning souls by the masses and financial success doing so. All that’s external! It’s ABOUT THE HEART…where God determines true success! CHECK IT OUT… As men and women of God our hearts need to be in right standing with God. “Is not life more important than food and the body more important than clothes?”(Matt 6:25) Food is only a component that helps sustain physical life. It’s not the focus of life! Interestingly, in the Greek the word life means spirit! Thus it’s the condition of that man’s spirit (his true heart) that determines true success, not his spiritual or physical accolades. What is the Great commandment? To love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, mind and soul! Christians remember doing big things for the Kingdom is good but don’t get out balance by forgetting the King! Matt 22:38! Lecrae, Trip Lee, Flame…all of Cross Movement…keep representing the Heart of Christ for all to see!
