Stars Go DimWhen Tulsa-based Stars Go Dim first started, it was more of a side-project for Pillar (Michael ‘Kalel’ Wittig, Lester Estelle and touring member, Joey Avalos). The side-line status was left behind with the release of their debut album, Love Gone Mad, in August 2009. With Chris Cleveland rounding out the line-up and several kudos under their belt (being featured on MTV’s The Real World DC and winning the 2009 Ernie Ball Play Mayercraft contest to name a couple), they are taking 2010 by storm!

The band has signed with Union Entertainment Group for management (think Nickelback, Hinder, Kevin Costner, Richard Marx, Red, Brian Head Welch, Jessie James, Mr. Big, Pillar, Spoken, George Lynch and Lynch Mob) and that is just the start of their big news.

Stars Go Dim is also one of the bands featured on the original motion picture soundtrack for Letters to God…hope is contagious (hitting stores on March 30th and in theaters April 9th). They are finalists in The International Songwriting Competition (you can still vote for them), and to celebrate their new mobile fan club, they’re giving away 25 USB flash drives with SGD content, including songs, video and pictures! To enter the contest, simply text sgdsms to 368266 on your phone. You’ll get a text from them with a link to their new mobile web site, and you can enter right there from your phone! Speaking of free stuff, the band is also giving away free downloads of two of their songs, “Crazy” and “Get Over It” on New Groove Music.

If they’ve accomplished that much (and it’s only March), I wonder what the rest of the year will bring!
