June 10, 2024Sarah Jakes Roberts was unsure what to expect when her father, Bishop T.D. Jakes passed her the mantle of his 25-year-old Woman, Thou Art Loosed! (WTAL) conference. His powerful gesture spiritually directed WTAL devotees, numbering over half a million viewers over the years, to her much younger Woman Evolve ministry.
“I don’t think that I was convinced that it would really mean anything for Woman Evolve on a practical level,” Jakes Roberts told Faithfully Magazine. “But then there were 10,000 women registered for Woman Evolve that first week. And I was like, ‘Okay, so I think this actually might mean something.'”
