Yesterday, Christian Hip-Hop artist Thi’sl was shot multiple times in his hometown St. Louis.

He underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, according to his cousin Dannetta Deedee. Her post is included in a video by The Crew below.

There aren’t many details on why this happened.

With that being said, Thi’sl, a Billboard-charting hip-hop artist, is known for being a positive role model in his community (St. Louis) who speaks against violence and works with the youth.

St. Louis is a great city but it also has serious issues with crime. St. Louis has the highest violent crime rate per 100,000 people according to The Detroit Times (Source: FBI Uniform Crime Report).

Gun violence is an issue that needs to be focused on so we can all find solutions to the problem. Jam The Hype will be addressing Gun violence more in-depth soon.
