Pardon the interruption from the “Theology of…” series. I just had something that I couldn’t ignore. If you put your ear to the ground and listen to the music that has been coming out in the last few months you will see an interesting trend. We are hearing a sound, more  than ever before, that reflects openness and legitimate examples of personal vulnerability.  A few that come to mind are Da’ T.R.U.T.H.’s songs Lights, Brainwashed, and Survivor or Canon’s Man in the Mirror song that deals with first person accounts of homosexuality,  paying for an abortion, or just pointing out how  hip hop culture  can offer trappings of  vanity .
