Voting Wisely

Today is Election Day and I find these words from the Bible particularly relevant, “There is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
In other words, political control belongs to God and all politicians are under his final authority. God has given us the liberty to do good or to do evil, and in America that liberty allows us to elect good or bad governments. But God sets the limits and retains ultimate authority.
God continually calls leaders to be good and to do good. God can use any party, any politician and any person to get his good work done. Our job is to cast our vote wisely, realizing that God is in charge and that prayer is more powerful than politics.
