What does being a Rapzilla Freshmen mean to you?

Being named a Rapzilla Freshmen is a true honor and a reflection of the dedication and hard work I’ve poured into my craft. It’s incredibly rewarding to see my music recognized in this way. Staying consistent throughout this journey has brought me to this point, and I’m truly grateful for it. I’m not much of a talker. I prefer to let the work speak for itself. And if that path means never giving up while growing closer to Jesus, that’s always a blessing.

How does it feel to be collaborating with like-minded artists?

Working with like-minded artists feels intentional and meaningful. Each person brings their own creative flavor to the table, making the process both dynamic and inspiring. Being able to collaborate with people who share the same values empowers us to create something meaningful. It honors our unique paths while pushing forward a common purpose.

What has been the best moment in your artistic journey, and a moment with a fan so far?

Some of my most cherished memories as an artist go beyond the music. They’re about the brothers I’ve made along the journey. TLS stands out as a perfect example of that. It’s more than just making songs; it’s a way for us to serve and represent Christ together.

It’s also an incredible feeling to see and hear people around the world reacting to a beat I produced. That never gets old. One of the best parts of this journey is when fans tag me in their everyday moments, showing how they’re listening to the music in real life. Since the release of The Flo Pack II with Q-Flo, I’ve seen so much love and support from listeners. Shoutout to Q-Flo as well, being new to the CHH space and collaborating with one of the top artists in the genre has truly been a blessing.

What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

For the rest of the year, I plan to drop a few singles and a couple of EPs, collaborate with artists I haven’t worked with yet, and keep inspiring others, especially those from my hometown of Montreal and my NDG neighborhood, where I grew up. This journey is a marathon, and what makes it truly worthwhile is the opportunity to uplift and motivate one another along the way.

What does being a Rapzilla Freshmen mean to you?

Ever since I started in CHH, Rapzilla has been the face of this space in so many ways. My old friend Phil J recorded a collaboration with Rapzilla back in 2019 called “Gotta Get It,” and that’s what first introduced me to Rapzilla and the opportunities they give to smaller artists who stand out on their platforms. Watching other artists and some really close friends of mine make the Freshmen list over the years pushed me to continue standing out and creating music that isn’t typically heard in our space. So after six years of growth, being a Rapzilla Freshmen feels very full circle for me and just another blessing of God’s good work.

How does it feel to be collaborating with like-minded artists?

It has always been a fun process to create with other artists. Sometimes we take for granted how much collaboration can help us discover new ideas, expand our audience, and develop genuine relationships within the music industry. A few of the artists in my class, like IDEGO, YakiTheKid, and JWOODZ, have been close friends of mine, and we have been making music together for several years now. Now we have the opportunity to create with even more talented artists, and I’m very excited to see the results of our work.

What has been the best moment in your artistic journey, and a moment with a fan so far?

Having amazing opportunities to meet and even share the stage with artists I’ve looked up to has been one of my favorite experiences so far. Last summer, I had the chance to open for Joe L. Barnes, 1K Phew, 350, A3, Bodie, Gracie Binion, Aaron Cole, and Trip Lee. Being in a position to share the stage with these artists really showed me how far I’ve come as an artist, and I’m forever grateful for those memories.

Holy Smoke Fest was also such a highlight for me. Being able to be Yung Drew’s plus-one, I got to meet so many talented artists, network, and even reconnect with 350 and A3 during the festival. There was a very special moment with a fan that caught me off guard. I was outside the Rocketown venue with Yung Drew and IDEGO filming content for the songs we had for the summer when a group of kids came up to us. One of the kids recognized me from my song “Weatherman” and started singing it back to me. It made me realize that the music I make truly leaves an impact and that there is real value in the work I create.

What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

This year, I have a concept album called SWAMP, a project that tells the story of a character’s journey through a place of chaos and destruction where he discovers a false reality and ultimately transforms into the truth.

Being able to step outside of the typical Christian hip hop sound is something I’ve always thought about. Adjusting my approach to how I create records so I can share songs and concepts that open up new questions and ideas has been truly inspiring as I continue to explore new directions in my music.

What does being a Rapzilla Freshmen mean to you?

Being a Rapzilla Freshmen means a lot to me. It’s easy to feel like your work and effort aren’t being seen or heard, especially today, when we all are fighting the algorithm and trying to cut through the noise. So, having achieved this reminded me that not only does God see my effort and work by providing me this opportunity, but also that there are actually people watching, listening, and supporting. It is an honor, and I am thankful to God, the Rapzilla team, and my family/friends who helped make this possible.

How does it feel to be collaborating with like-minded artists?

Collaborating has always been my goal since I started doing music. So, to be able to do this with more artists/ producers/ and the Rapzilla team is a dream of mine come true.

What has been the best moment in your artistic journey, and a moment with a fan so far?

One of the best moments I’ve ever had in my artistic journey was when I got to perform one of my first shows opening up for Zauntee. The response was amazing and nothing I expected at all. It truly inspired me to continue to do what I am doing and not give up.

I’ve had a lot of special conversations and moments with fans, and to be honest, it’s hard to say there’s just one best moment. So I’m going to have to say that the ones that have either told me in person or over DM that my music has inspired them, helped them out of any dark place, or gotten them closer to God – are the absolute best fan (which I call fam) moments I’ve ever had. Those give me a reason to keep doing what I do.

What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

I have a lot of plans for this year. Last year, I dropped a single a month, and this year I will definitely continue that starting in March. Maybe a couple of projects as well. I also produce and mix/master. So another goal of mine this year is to take that to the next level and be able to provide that service for more people in this space. I have some shows lined up for the year as an artist and some Tours I will be drumming/DJing for and providing some live tech work and live media for artists. I am looking forward to collaborating with some great people this year.

What does being a Rapzilla Freshmen mean to you?

Being a Rapzilla Freshmen is a milestone that most people in the space admire and want to have, and I am absolutely blessed to be in this position at such a young age

How does it feel to be collaborating with like-minded artists?

It feels amazing to be able to work with artists who love real music, and most importantly, love Jesus. I believe we can be the class to make a special impact.

What has been the best moment in your artistic journey, and a moment with a fan so far?

Best moment: One of the best moments was building a real personal relationship with my favorite artist, Miles Minnick. From now having a song with him, to hearing him publicly shout me out and call me “next up” made it real. That showed me God is working, and doors will continue to open.

Fan Moment: crazy fan moment was when I threw out merch on stage in a concert and had a single hat along with some other clothes. A few good months pass by, and I run into a fan in San Francisco with the exact same hat I passed out, asking me to sign it for him. Crazy moment, but also a genuine connection with my supporters!

What do you have planned for the rest of the year?

For the rest of the year, I’m not planning to stop at all. So many things have happened over this past year, and why would I stop now? Being a Freshmen is confirmation, and a green light to KEEP GOING. I wanted to be a freshmen so bad, so I worked for it. God can do it for you, too.
