Only One Priority

People often talk about priorities. Some of us have a few, others have too many to count. Those who study the history of language tell us that it is only in comparatively recent times that the word “priority” has been used in the plural. Centuries ago it only appeared in the singular – priority, never priorities. You could only have one priority in life.
The Bible teaches that the way to enjoy life is to make God your priority. If we did that, we would consider God in every detail of our lives. He would be more important than money or health or business deals. We would see things through new eyes and look for his hand in everything that happens.
Making God our priority enables us to enjoy the best of times and to be strong enough to survive the worst.
