Back in February 2024, I covered the story of Andy Rebirth, the Ex-Latin King Soldier, and how his testimony was cut from the Business Insider Interview. Since then, he’s been busy promoting Christ throughout his city through music shows, and he’s showing no sign of stopping.

The New Orleans City Council officially proclaimed January 8, 2026, as Andy Rebirth Day, honoring Christian rap artist and pastor Andy Rebirth for his faith-driven music, community outreach, and transformative impact across the city.

The proclamation recognizes Andy Rebirth’s journey from rehabilitation to rebirth, as well as his consistent work throughout New Orleans—including large-scale outreach initiatives, food distributions, prayer-driven community engagement, and mentorship—paired with Christian hip-hop music that boldly shares the Gospel and inspires listeners.

Through authentic, scripture-centered lyrics and hands-on service beyond the stage, Andy Rebirth continues to use hip-hop as a tool for ministry—bridging music, faith, and real-world impact in neighborhoods across the city.

“This honor reflects what God can do when faith meets action,” said Andy Rebirth. “Christian rap isn’t just music—it’s ministry in motion.”
